Game Day
July 20, 2019
Game day!

Let's all play safe and have fun. It's going to be hot out here today, so please stay hydrated and in the shade as much as you can.

Thank you for your support of the Dayton Community as we continue to repair the damage caused by the Memorial Day tornados. There is still a lot of work to be done and your generous contribution will help a lot of organizations on the ground continue to do their work.

Be sure to check into the registration desk before your first game, If you have pre-ordered tshirts, they will be there for pickup.

Division Names
July 16, 2019
A quick note on division names:

We used iconic Dayton-based historical figures for our division names. Here's how they are by ages
Wright - 8-10
Dunbar 11
Deeds 12
Kettering 13
Patterson 14
Fraze 15-16
Bombeck 18-19

(The preceding numbers are just for sorting, not year-based ages... sorry if there was any confusion...)

We have published the schedule at We have tried to match teams that are of like ability, but if you feel your team is not competitive, let us know and we'll do our best to adjust if we can. This is a friendly, low-key, high-fun event. No heading or tackling, please. Sportsmanship is valued over everything. And we're also not keeping score.

Every division is co-ed. Games are 12 minute halves, start on the hour and the half. Each team plays two games (maximum allowed..) Please plan on being at your first game about a half hour prior so we can get the paperwork done and at least 15 minutes prior to your second game.

We have received team applications from Cincinnati to Zanesville and every community in between. There has been a lot of interest in this fund-raiser for those affected by the tornados over Memorial Day and this speaks well of the soccer community. We're super-stoked to host this event!

We only need the one liability form available at Please have this filled out prior to your first game to save time and congestion at the registration desk.

Your donation will be accepted prior to your first scheduled game on SATURDAY, JULY 20 at the fields. We will accept checks and credit cards. While we are recommending a minimum of $50/team, we appreciate any amount you can donate.

Please bring a plain white tshirt in the event of a color match that is too close. The home team will change into whites if needed.

If is forecasted to be very hot, so please plan proper hydration. Referees have been asked to give water breaks when needed. We need to stay on schedule, so we will not add time to the games.

We will be drawing four names at 1:00pm for Crew tickets for the 7:30pm game after the 3v3. If you are able to travel to and back, wish your name to be in the hat, you will have an opportunity to include the team members when you register prior to your first game.

Oh, yeah... we got free stickers for everyone!

Again, thank you for your generous donation that will help repair our community.

Chris and Gerard

Dayton Tornados
June 13, 2019
On Memorial Day, 15 tornados touched down in the Dayton, Ohio area, the largest ones hitting Trotwood, Brookville, Riverside and Old North Dayton. They were rated EF4, with winds up to 170 mph.

Many lost their homes; many more were displaced without power, food, water or shelter. Much of the cleanup has been done; the acute needs of the residents cared for by volunteers and state organizations, the hard work of rebuilding lives will just now begin. In the coming months, the tornado survivors will need not only their physical needs met, but their mental well-being cared for.

We believe that sports helps heal. It is in that spirit that we reached out to the soccer community and asked them to come together to help provide a fun day of play and entertainment, food and laughter.

We hope to raise funds to help, but more importantly, we hope to raise spirits. We are not asking for team fees to compete, but rather donations for what you feel you can give. For those players who have lost everything, we only ask that you have a good time.

We also hope that by bringing the community together, we reaffirm to each other that we are all on this big rock together; that what affects you, affects me. We hope you meet others throughout the day and take the time to share in each other's story.
